Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Finding Hidden Gems in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs may be over 80 years old, but it's still packed with hidden gems and Easter eggs waiting to be discovered. Join us on a journey through the Enchanted Forest as we uncover some of the most exciting and elusive Easter eggs hidden in Disney's first animated feature.

The "Silly Symphony" Cameo:

At the beginning of the movie, there is a "Silly Symphony" cartoon playing on the television in the dwarfs' cottage. "Silly Symphony" was a series of animated short films produced by Disney in the 1930s.

The Wishing Well:

In the forest, Snow White sings "I'm Wishing" while standing in front of a well. Later, the Evil Queen will consult the same well when asking who the fairest of them all is.

The Apple:

The poisoned apple is one of the most iconic elements of the Snow White story. Keep an eye out for apples throughout the movie, including in the beginning when Snow White is singing to the birds and the dwarfs are washing up for dinner.

Hidden Mickeys:

Look for the classic hidden Mickey shapes throughout the movie. One can be seen in the opening credits, while others appear in the background of various scenes.

The Prince:

The Prince is a somewhat minor character in Snow White, but he does make a memorable appearance at the end of the movie. Interestingly, he is never referred to by name in the film.

The Queen's Transformation:

Near the end of the movie, the Evil Queen transforms into an old hag to offer Snow White the poisoned apple. This scene is often cited as one of the scariest in Disney history.

Happy hunting!
