The Little Mermaid (1989 film) story
The Little Mermaid is a 1989 Disney animated film, based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The story follows Ariel, a teenage mermaid princess who dreams of exploring the world above the ocean. When she rescues and falls in love with a human prince, she makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula to trade her voice for legs so she can live on land and try to win the prince's love. However, Ursula's magic comes with a dangerous price, and Ariel and her friends must work to stop Ursula's plan to rule the ocean. In the end, Ariel learns the value of being true to oneself and finds her place in the world.
